"Don't Tell My Mom!"

Vinny is 17 years old and has already dropped out of school. He thinks he’s a really cool tough guy and can make money by preying on "suckers," as he calls them.

According to a report on Fox Radio News, Vinny walks up behind an elderly guy, grabs him by the back of the shirt and holds a switch-blade knife up against the man’s throat.

"Give it up, sucker," says Vinny in true Hollywood bad-guy fashion. The old dude is not amused. Quickly, he spins around and slaps Vinny on the side of the head, knocking the boy to the sidewalk.

The old dude, we’ll call him Mr. Rogers, slams the heel of one of his boots on Vinny’s knife-holding hand, then threatens to slam the other heel into Vinny’s face, "if you even try to move a muscle."

This set of circumstances is not at all what Vinny had in mind when he made his plan of attack on this elderly victim. Mr. Rogers looks down at young Vinny. "The lady standing next to me is now on her cell phone calling the cops," says the old dude. "And if you don’t stay right where you are without making a move, I promise you your mother will not recognize your face ever again."

Vinny realizes that he’s in over his head. The trembling young tough guy begins whimpering. Tears rolls down his cheeks as he pleads with the old man, "Please, sir, don’t tell my mom."

What Vinny is about to learn is that armed robbery, even a shabby attempt at the crime, is still armed robbery. At the age of 17 he can, if convicted, be sentenced to seven years in prison -- where he’ll meet up with some really nasty guys.
